Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival: THE BOX

The chamber opera The Box, composed by Stefanie Tuurna and written by Kalle Virtanen, tells the story of four men locked in the same room. The contemporary work deals with the human mind by means of modern opera in a situation where the outside world is demarcated and the only escape route can be found at one's own end. In the performance, four soloists will be accompanied by the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra conducted by James S. Kahane.

The production is the premiere of the work.
